Posted by - NA - on 18 November 2010 03:08 AM

Latest firmware update for the Photo Scanner. This update fixes the issue where the Photo Scanner is automatically cropping photos that have dark areas and prevented the entire photo from being scanned. To check which firmware your device has loaded, please do the following -

Turn on the Photo Scanner, take out the memory card if it is inserted and quickly press the left arrow button 6 times, the firmware version will be displayed. If it does not display LA1e.812, please update the firmware -

1. Download the firmware update, unzip (extract) this file and copy the ‘FW96210A.bin’ file to a clean SD memory card (format the card beforehand).

2. Insert the memory card into the Photo Scanner and press the on button.

3. The firmware update will now commence. Please note that the preview screen will be blank. The update takes approximately 30 seconds to complete. Do not turn off the device or take out the SD card during the update. You will then see a blue dialogue box with the words ‘no image’ on the preview screen.

4. Take out the memory card and make sure that you format it again before using it in the Photo Scanner. The installed firmware is LA0b.800 and the update will take it to LA1e.812.

5. To display the current version of the firmware, turn on the Photo Scanner, take out the memory card if it is inserted and quickly press the left arrow button 6 times, the firmware version will be displayed.
