Knowledgebase: Video To DVD Maker
I press play on my VCR / analogue video camera but I don't see the picture or hear the sound

Please check the following -

1. Check that you have connected your VCR or analogue camera correctly. Do not use the front connections on your VCR as they are inputs only. The video and audio outputs will be located at the back. A good way to check if the video is being played is to connect the VCR or analogue camera to your TV. If the video is not being shown on the TV this would indicate that the cables are not connected to the video and audio outputs.

2. Check that you have the DVD Maker selected as your capture device. If you have other capture devices installed this may cause conflicts with the DVD Maker.

3. We recommend to use the latest version of our capture software. You can download the latest version of the Magix Video easy software at this link -
